OBJECTIVES:
Reflect on the management of academic centres, their influence on the internationalization of knowledge, international alliances, the recruitment of foreign students or the new transnational university formation strategies.
MEANT FOR:
Academic Authorities, Deans, International and Institutional Relations Directors and Directors in the areas of Communication and Marketing of Hispanic Business schools and universities in the US, South America and Europe.
MAIN DIRECTIVES of the ENCOUNTER:
- To pool together tools for recruitment of international students. The opportunities of the internationalization of the student body.
- Analyse the possibilities of academic cooperation through e-learning and other associative models or partnership.
- Offer a vision of the new European Space of Higher Education.
- Foresee the near future of the 2015 horizon through the Global Space of Higher Education.
- Spread the value of the “Double degrees” and the possibilities of Europe-America correspondence.
TOURIST VISITS:
The conferences given by European and American representatives will take place in the Centro Universitario CESINE Conference Room on the mornings of 26th and 27th May.
A lunch will be given, on both days after the speeches are finished, on the Cesine campus and in the afternoon excursions are planned to emblematic places in the region such as Santillana del Mar or the Altamira neo-cave. Further details on these tourist activities will be given soon on this website.
AID FOR HACU MEMBERS:
The members associated with the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities will have the following Centro Universitario CESINE-sponsored aid available:
- 3 paid nights at a hotel in Santander (5/25, 5/26 y 5/27). Later on information about the hotel will be given together with the corresponding links.
- All the breakfasts and lunches are included (not dinners).
- The 2 guided tours to emblematic places in Cantabria are free of charge to HACU members.
